What the heck is "Cosplay"?
"Costume + Play = Cosplay"
No, it's not as kinky as it sounds. Cosplay is when you dress up in costume as your favorite characters from books, movies, tv, cartoons, comics, or video games, and play the part. (Usually at conventions or events.)
Often times, there are contests involving characters putting on skits or routines on stage, as well as prizes awarded to well-constructed costumes, or people giving the best portrayal of a character.
